The Next 10 postings are some of my most recent paintings. I have about 10 more recent works that I will post at a later date. I've been very busy painting and fell behind on my posting - "MY BAD!!!"
My urge to paint the Southwest is overpowering and in the past month I have painted at least 25 such paintings. Lots of these paintings are from photos I took while living in and visiting AZ - some of them are what I call "MINDSCAPES" that is to say they are a vision in my mind that I translate onto the painting surface. Some my be real scenes within my memory and others are truly visions within my mind.
These works represent a semi loose painterly style done with a large brush using gusto and spontaneity.
I hope you enjoy your tour of the Southwest.
