Texas Canola Field

Yellow and its various shades are some of my favorite colors.  Texas is the largest producer of canola in the USA - which surprised me but I guess given the land mass - I'm really not surprised.  Having seen canola fields across the USA and in Canada during our year on the RV road brought about my love for the color they can put forth.

Seeing acre after acre  of these fields is certainly a sight to be seen!!!

Etretat

Etretat is a commune on the Manneporte Coast of Normandy France  It was a favorite painting place for Claude Monet - he once spent a month there painting this outcrop of cliffs.
This was painted based on a tutorial by Jose Salvaggio whose videos I follow along with several other artists.

Painted on 18 x 24 heavy linen paper - Chroma Interactive acrylics in a painterly style with spontaneity.

Mini Mesas

Having fun working on some small paintings that I will give to a few friends for Christmas or use them for "door prizes" at an exhibit I will be holding soon,  This one was done with a palette knife.

Tres Amigos

This is 5 x 7 on heavy linen paper - done very quickly with spontaneity in a painterly style.
