Rockin' & Slow Dancin' In California

18 x 24 - heavy linen paper - Chroma Interactive acrylics - done in a loose painterly sryle using "thick paint" as in the style of artist Brad Teare - I follow his work and am a big fan of the "thick paint' - large brush technique.  This was painted with a 2 1/2 inch good quality brush (Purdy) which I buy at Home Depot - I've had this one 20 years and also use it for painting projects around the home -

Rockin' & Slow Dancin' In California  - heavy linen paper - Chroma Interactive acrylics done in a loose painterly style using a style similar to that of Brad Teare (thick paint.) 2 1/2 inch brush used - very quickly with lots of spontaneity and a love for the ocean.

Thanks for lookin'

Incoming Gulf Storm

Living on the Gulf of Mexico a squall or storm can blow in almost on a moments notice - just the right combination of weather happenings and BINGO a STORM - this is especially true in the summer - our wet season.  Painted with a 2 1/2 inch brush and efficiency of strokes in a painterly style.

Fort Pickens Florida - Sand Dunes

Next to the Southwest desert my next favorite place is at the ocean.  Living in Florida when not painting the desert I switch over to my surroundings here on the Gulf of Mexico.

Done in a painterly style with efficiency of strokes - using a large 2 1/2 inch brush.  I always try to paint with the biggest brush I can.

Magnificent Seven

Some more Southwest.  Southwest and desert scenes are by far the favorite of mine to paint.  The colors one finds in the desert are just amazing and I have to say that color is my whole world.

This is the scenery one can view when out into the Badlands of Arizona - not a sole around but yet so much beauty to view.

Capital Reef National Park

One of our many beautiful National Parks.  - Painted with large 2 1/2 inch brush and some palette knife work.  More examples of our beautiful desert areas.
