I love whipped cream cheese (less calories) spread onto a toasted english muffin (fat free - Trader Joe's) and then lots of olives put on top of the cream cheese.
There is a message here regarding the less calories/fat free verbiage. I recently lost 32 pounds and have been able to maintain 150-155 for quite a while now. I'm 5'10'', and feel my "fighting weight" is best at 155. I now have a 34" waist which the last time I saw that was in high school! There was a time I could not see my waist even when I was laying down! :>) Soooooo eat healthy, reduce your calories, get some exercise ( we walk a lot - at a brisk pace for close to 1 hour - I love to walk! If you follow a reasonably fat free diet and watch your calories, and exercise you too can become a painter!!!!! :>)
The other day I was preparing my lunch (ran out of fruit) and decided on the english muffin, cheese and olives. Welllllll I tried to spoon out a large portion of olives and they spilled all over the kitchen counter!!! I've noticed the past year or 9 months that I drop a lot of things. One minute they are in my hand the next minute they are gone!!!! It's not magic, it just happens! I guess this comes with the aging process. I've dropped and broken 2 cameras - one belonging to my wife - a real nice Nikon D40 digital camera and a little one - you know the kind that you can put in your pocket but can hardly hold because they are so tiny. On vacation in Mexico this past February-March I dropped my netbook - thank goodness nothing broke!!!!!! Whatever we buy now we get the product insurance that covers DROPPING AS WELL! But ahhhhh I digress - another bad habit. I use to have the belief that old people (much older than me - MUCH-MUCH) talk a lot because they are afraid that it might be their last conversation! But me ---- I'm more the quiet type! :>)
I looked at the olives on the counter (some on the floor too - but the 3 second rule applied) and I thought WOW - I see a painting here.
Sooooooo we have:
"NO SENSE CRYING OVER SPILLED OLIVES"
This at present is 18 x 24 ( I may crop it ) on heavy linen canvas paper (which is my current choice of sub-straight (more artist talk) because it weighs nothing and you can store about 3 Gazillion of them in a box. When we FINALLY get into our full time RV-ing, weight and storage can present problems, so I adjust now!!
Once again this was painted very, very quickly wet into wet with lots of brush work to get the brush work to be visible thereby giving texture and yes RUSTICITY to the piece. In this manner, you can indicate the direction in which the surface of the olive takes on based on its position. Did you know that some very famous artists ( here and gone) are recognized for their brushwork and collectors can immediately recognize a piece based on the brushwork. I'm not sure anyone but me would find this interesting!
Sooooooo (finally) here we (I) go zip-zip-quick-quick we'll be done B4 you know it! I painted this to a recording of the William Tell Overture!!!!
CHARGE!!!!!
Ahhhhhhhh HA - another blank canvas - I guess this is a good place to start!
Throw some color on
Background - Foreground
WOW!!!! NOW WAS THAT QUICK OR WHAT???
I think we are done! :>)
