B'day lunch

Yo Blog Buddies,

Well we spent about 5 hours in downtown Charleston - along the waterfront and took in the sites that we missed the other day.  It really is such a beautiful little city - if you have not been here, put it on your list of places to visit!!!

We decided on a B'day lunch and went to a place called Magnolias.  Filled with southern charm and sort of plantation atmosphere - it was just perfect!

Melissa got the pan seared catfish sandwich and I got the pan seared lump crab cake sandwich and we both got a cream cheese pecan brownie with vanilla ice cream, and chocolate sauce for a B'day treat!!!!

OK--------- back on the diets!!!!!!

The weather was great today - after the morning shower cleared out the skies got blue and there was a nice breeze down on the waterfront in town.  I would guess the temp to be in the mid 80's with a slightly elevated humidity but the breeze certainly compensates for that.

Tomorrow if the day starts out with blue skies and sun, we will go to the beach in the morning and a plantation tour in the mid afternoon.

We are sitting outside our RV now and have the awning extended - so it is nice and shady and the breeze is quite cooling.

When we started our journey, we said we would look for nice places that we would consider relocating to once we decided to come in off the road from full time RV-ing.  Well Pensacola FL could be one - just beautiful but - but - but they get a lot of rain there - and we all know about my fear of rain!!!!  :>(

Charleston is another such place that we could see us setteling into - I've got to check the annual weather patterns as I think they may also get a lot of rain.

Our plan is to find a nice warm - semi warm (NO SNOW) climate to spend our winters in and then during the off season such as summer into hurricane season in FL, we would P/T RV in places that have nice summers/autumns - Colorado - Utah - etc etc.

Well we've got a lot of places to go and a lot of nice places to see and to consider so - no rush - just making notes.  :>)

Well - take care and I'll report in on the adventures of tomorrow.
